Ghana’s Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has recalled with pain, the death of his former press aide Kwabena Boadu, as he marks one year of his “friend’s” demise. Boadu, affectionately called KB, died in the Upper West region on November 24, 2016 in the line of duty. On Friday, November 24, 2017, the Vice President joined by close associates made a private visit to the graveside of Boadu at the Achimota Cemetery where Boadu’s tombstone was unveiled, prayers were said and wreaths were laid on his behalf, the New Patriotic Party and the family. Having worked with Kwabena Boadu for several years, he remarked that the aide’s death has left a void difficult to fill. “Exactly a year ago, my dearest brother and friend, Kwabena Boadu, left this world suddenly. My life has never been and will never be the same again. The pain never goes away. The void is too large to fill,” Dr. Bawumia posted on his Facebook wall on Friday. “I miss Kwabena every single day. He was an unassuming, caring and brilliant young man who became my rock. I keep asking God ‘why?’. “Kwabena, I miss you so much. You are my hero. May your soul rest in peace until we meet again.” A Memorial Service will be held on December 3, 2017 at the Taifa Methodist Church. By Isaac Essel |3news.com | Ghana]]>
