CAF President Ahmad Ahmad will have 3 Vice Presidents[/caption] The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has created another portfolio in its top hierarchy, following from decisions taken at the end of the Extraordinary General Assembly held in Rabat, Morocco. The position of the 3rd Vice President of the continent’s football governing body will be occupied by Fouzi Lekjaa, the President of the Moroccan Football Federation. Fouzi Lekjaa heads the Confederation’s Finance Committee, a position he will retain. CAF President Ahmad Ahmad is already assisted by two other executive committee members: Ghana’s Kwesi Nyantakyi, who is the 1st Vice President, and Congo’s Constant Omari, who is the 2nd Vice President. Among the decisions taken at the Assembly on Friday is the reduction of the Standing Committees from 19 to 11. “The Judicial and Compliance bodies whose presidents are to elected by the General Assembly have been expanded with the creation of a Governance Committee.” The presidents and vice presidents of the various standing committees have also been named. Legendary Zambian footballer Kalusha Bwalya will head the Technical and Development Committee.
