A/R: 'NPP' machomen attack REGSEC coordinator

A group of well-built men purportedly from the Delta Force, a security force affiliated to the governing New Patriotic Party, allegedly stormed the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council on Friday, March 24 to stop one Mr Adjei, appointed as the regional security coordinator, from performing his duties. According to members of the Delta Force, they cannot work with Mr Adjei since he is not a native of the Ashanti Region. The men said they have petitioned the Ashanti Region Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, on the matter and he has promised to deal with it. Notwithstanding, the taskforce stormed the office to stop Mr Adjei from working on Friday. Mr Adjei was manhandled and dragged from his office by the macho men, but was saved by police officers, who were called in to control tempers.
